I chose to do an inspirational CD. I used my own photographs that I took myself on every page. I used Adobe Photoshop on some of them. I chose photographs that had a lot of light in them in keeping with the theme and title, Out of the Dark…Into the Light. The CD was created in Adobe InDesign. I used a font called Segoe Script as I thought it was soothing and easy to read. The following are the places that I took the photographs I used for this assignment.
Front Cover – Camp Huntington, Raquette Lake, NY in the Adirondacks. I recently went to a residency class there through Empire State College.
Page Two – Inside the Tower of London. London, England.
Page Three – Lake Lucerne in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Page Four – White Flowers taken at New York State Fair Horticultural Show, Syracuse, NY.
Page Five – Up in the Swiss Alps on the way to Stanserhorn Mountain Peak, Switzerland.
Page Six – Florence, Italy.
Page Seven – Ceiling inside the Pantheon in Rome, Italy.
Page Eight – Positano, Italy.
I created my logo (Owl Night Productions) that I placed on the front cover in Adobe Illustrator. In this case, Owl is used instead of All. They sound alike to me. Just a little play on words. I drew the owl in Illustrator and turned it into a vector. I like the gold font on the logo as I think it matches with the light on the trees.
I choose certain verses from the songs to include on the pages as I felt it would be too crowed and too small to read if I included all the lyrics. Less is more as they say.

Sorry, couldn't figure out how to put facing pages side by side on the blog and make them big enough to see.

I put these two songs on this photo because they both talk about birds and flying and there are several birds in the photo.

The reason why I picked this photo of the ceiling of the Pantheon is because of the light coming through it. You automatically look up when you walk in the building and I though it would be good to represent the song Skyscraper as you naturally look up at a skyscraper. The pattern in the ceiling reminded me of the pattern of fireworks going off (a circular explosion) and that's why I thought the song Firework would be good on this photo.
